Get a Grip Americans!

Today we are experiencing another of the idiotic things that make me sometimes hate people! I'm sure you've all heard of the Jena 6 by now. But if you havn't; basically, in Jena, LA some white kids put nooses in a tree to fuck with some black students and in retaliation 6 black kids beat down one of the white kids and put him, briefly, in the hospital (If you want more details google it). Okay... so thousands of people have decended upon this little town to protest that the 6 black kids are being charged for beating down the white kid. WTF...

First off... the white kids who did the noose thing deserved a bit of a beat down, although 6 on 1 and the extent of the beating was a bit much! Secondly, this town is and has been highly segregated... it's the south, it happens people. If you are a black student living in that type environment and you put a beating on a white kid, what do you expect is going to happen, dumbass?

Everyone should back off this town... let them handle their business and move on with our lives. I gotta say... the whole thing pisses me off. It's not the things that are happening that show problems with civil liberties; its the way this fucking liberal country is reacting! Why should black students get off just because the white student was a racist? If I got a free pass anytime an african american taunted me or made treats in my direction I'd have killed alot of black folks. This whole thing is stupid! If student A and his 5 friends beat down student B (knocking him unconcious and putting him in the hospital) then student A and his friends are going to face some serious charges... color has nothing to do with it. I don't care what your story is, Motives don't excuse the actions or in this case the crime!

What would happen if 6 WHITE kids beat down a BLACK kid for threatening them??? I'll tell you what would happen... all the same people that are down in Jena now, asking for the black students to get off lightly, would be there asking for the white students to get the death penalty!

People need to get a fuckin' grip and live their lives; and quit jumping on the fucking band wagon for every bullshit cause that comes down the pike! Black people around the country are now using the media and emotions to get around the fact that a simple crime has occured. A group of kids beat up another kid... we need to not make this more than it is.

I'm sure alot of people will be angered by this point of view... "My people were in bondage for hundreds of years, forced to work as slaves." Yup... that's true. But there isn't a person alive today who is, was or knows someone who has been a slave in this country. Likewise there is no one who has 'owned' any slaves alive in this country. It's time that a large number of African Americans stop using the past to make themselves modern day victims. Hardships faced in your history should be used to make yourselves stronger and more able to over come hardships; not used to get special treatment in schools (affirmative action) or as an excuse to commit crimes because someone mentions your ancestors.
