It's not the Kids, it's the Parents!

I'm a reasonably intelligent person, but it is beyond me how some people can be so completely ignorant about common courtesy while in public. For instance; all of you people who think it's okay to let your little un-behaved children run wild while you are out to dinner, or in a store. What makes you think that it is okay that your kids are running around all the tables, jumping up and down, trowing things, or banging with the silverware? Come out with me and my children, any night of the week. You will find them sitting in their chair, on their bottom, legs front, eating like a normal human being. Exercise a little control over your children please! I don't want your little animals throwing bread onto my table, or just generally ruining my evening.
I think there are several factors causing these problems. First, people are stupid! They act without thinking or ever considering how they are affecting the people around them. Secondly, and this is just ignorant... The way we, in this country, are trying to protect our children from the world. Are we eventually going to have them wrapped in bubble sheets so they don't get hurt walking from class to class? Guess what... Time out stopped being a punishment at 2 years old... it's time to take off your belt and make an impression! It's getting out of control people! Let them run outside, let them throw each other in the mud. And for goodness sake, if they don't listen or break a rule, beat that ass! If my 7 year old daughter decides to get sassy and talk back to her mother or me, I'm going to reach over and smack her little face. And if anyone witnessing the event has a problem with that, they need to have their face smacked too!
Is anyone wondering why we have more children out getting into trouble than we do getting on the honor roll? Maybe it began with all this, spanking is wrong crap! If your child ever says they want to be emancipated from you, then you just didn't hit them hard enough or frequently enough... take them into the bedroom and wear them out! In fact, next time a kid gets in trouble and the parents blame something else (TV, video games, music), I'm going to personally beat the parents ass so that they can know how to deal with their children. If your kid is getting into trouble, guess what... it IS YOUR (The Parent's) Fault! Raising your kids with strict discipline while also allowing them to be kids, and get hurt once in a while will make them in to better people!
So, the bottom line; let your kids get hurt, they'll learn better that way, but if they disobey you smack them around. That's the Fact & Opinion from Matthew Blake.
